PING Nestor:
Did you happen to catch Jon Stewart’s impersonation of Bleck the other night before the other night that Saturday Night impersonated Bleck? I happen to like Jon’s impersonation better.
I saw the Stewart one. It was OK, but you can tell that they didn’t really watch or listen to much of his shows. The skit could have been really funny if they’d have used some Beckisms like: “I’m just sayin’” or “I’m not a _____, but I am a thinker” or “blood’s going to shoot out of my eyes!” etc.
However, South Park did a show that nailed him. It’s called ‘Dances with Smurfs’. It is pretty awesome.

> I saw the Stewart one. It was OK,
At least.
> but you can tell that they didn’t really watch or listen to much of his shows. …
I completely disagree.
> … However, South Park did a show that nailed him. It’s called ‘Dances with Smurfs’. It is pretty awesome.
I totally agree. I watched it last night …
PING Nestor: Just curious, as much as SouthPark nailed “Bleck” ™, how much do you think that they also nailed the “White Limbaugh” ™ at the same time????
Since Nestor brought it up, here’s the SouthPark episode mentioned -
http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/251890
Stewart’s impression wasn’t really funny, South Park’s was. But I don’t think it was supposed to be Limbaugh. If they were trying to make fun of Rush too, Cartman would have said things like, “I know these Socialists like every square inch of my naked body” or “Eric Cartman, with talent on loan from God.” It was totally Beck. If they were trying to make fun of other radio hosts, they weren’t making fun of them specifically, it was general.
Awaiting moderation…
Actually, the Southpark episode is now awaiting legal clearance due to previous obligations …
I’ll go check it out, Nestor. I need to login as the administrator of the blog, hang on …
Ok, it’s approved and up now.
Again, I disagree with you that Jon’s impersonation wasn’t funny (and right-on.)
You’re arguing in circles IMHO, my friend. Speaking of “Bleck” ™, I’m just curious (since it’s been brought up elsewhere), what do you think of a potential Palin/”Bleck” ticket for 2012?
On how much of SP’s was Rush? I don’t know. I was just curious on your take on that. ThanX!!!!
That SP was hilarious. I thought it was all Beck…the gray hair on the sides, the chalkboard, the welling tears…lol. Almost made me want to do Cartman. (Ok…that was wrong..I’m taking that back.)
Palin/Beck? Well it’d be better than Obama/Biden redux, but so would Nestor/ReckNHavic, or vice versa. I don’t know who is the one. On straight principled leadership, I’d say Jindal/Romney. But I don’t think that’ll happen. Bobby Jindal seems to want to stay in Louisiana for now, and he’s doing a heck of a great job.
Nestor -
> … On straight principled leadership, I’d say Jindal/Romney. …
ROFLMAO!!!!
Nestor my friend, where you’re making your mistake is that you only choose from Republicant’s.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
I just received old video (which either I forgot about, or never knew existed) of Nobody’s Business (with me on bass and backup vocals) covering I Got A Line On You by Spirit and Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down.
It’s kind’ve stuff that would be 4 hardcore Stan fans or hardcore Nobody’s business fans (or even hardcore Spirit or 3 Doors Down fans), let me know if your interested and I might upload the stuff …
I’d be down to watch it.
I’ll work on getting it up probably tomorrow night as I’m watching the big VY (he and I are alumns of Madison High) return to Houston. I’ll probably upload to youtube and link to (or embed)that …
Stan
Entertainment for the night:

I’ll watch it, too!
I think that was more of a knock on what President Obama was handed, than a knock on the President himself.
Obviously, I still haven’t uploaded the Nobody’s Business, the game really was a thriller. I can’t say that I’m happy with the result, though, as it probably ended our chances at going to the playoffs. Really if we expect to have any chance now, we have to win out the rest of our games.
Linda, congrats on Detroit winning a game (is that a first for the year?).
Thanks…no, it was our second! 2-8 baby!! We’re back in it!
Stan, so what’s it like travelling between this universe and the alternate reality that you live in?
Nestor, in my universe it is impossible to travel from our universe to another universe. Therefore YOU really don’t live in reality!
Pester, there is only one reality, you just don’t happen to live here!
“Empty” Nestor -
> Stan, so what’s it like travelling between this universe and the alternate reality that you live in?
“Empty”, it’s exactly the same. I mean, you yourself is evidence that in *THIS* universe there is also emptiness!!!!
Linda, I heard (either on the Daily show or the Colbert report) that ya’ll sold your stadium (the Silverdome?) to a Canadian for like only half a million.
BTW: I’m getting together with the old guitarist (Bob) tomorrow night, I imagine that will inspire me to upload the stuff so check back then …
Linda -
> Thanks…no, it was our second! 2-8 baby!! We’re back in it!
Don’t feel bad, there’s somebody here that’s got it worse than you. lafingas. His city (even though it’s like the 2nd. largest city in America) doesn’t even have even a losing NFL football team.
Stan
football? What’s that?
Lol…yeah, I guess I’d rather have a losing team than no team. We’ll be kickin some Packer butt tomorrow, tho! I didn’t realize it was a Dallas tradition, too..the Thanksgiving day game. Lucky us, eh? (I know, y’all hate the Cowboys..but still.)
It’s a bitch. I can’t hate the Cowboys now because they now have Bum Phillips’ son as their head coach.
Ends up Bob already uploaded the videos -

I would imagine that would be a lot like doing the “White Limbaugh” ™. Yuck!!!!
Ew..could have done without that visual.
Very cool, Stan! You’re hittin some serious high notes. Dude needs to turn his mic up for Kryptonite!
Happy Thanksgiving, Stan!
Linda -
> … Dude needs to turn his mic up for Kryptonite!
My thought exactly!!!! Well that and my mic was up too high. It would’ve made my lousy vocals not sound as bad …
Hey Stan, checkout these rightwing nutjobs!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKKKgua7wQk&feature=player_embedded
Yeah, I had already heard the interviews. I didn’t need the visual, though …
Actually, I never “hated” the Cowboys. In fact when I lived in Dallas I met a few of them. I even fixed Tony Dorset’s Betamax. I’ll never forget his response when I accepted his Betamax for repair when I told him that I was an Oiler’s fan (this was soon after we beat them in the Luv Ya Blue days): “I don’t care as long as you can fix my tape deck.” (yes, I did fix his (video) tape deck, the problem was a bad connection to his (loading, as I recall) motor.
Hey Stan..if you’re around, I have a question for ya. I have a song on a CD that I wanna share on my blog somehow. Do you know how I can do that? I did import it into iTunes, if that’s helpful. I’d appreciate any advice..thanks!
Since you’ve got a blogger/blogspot blog, and I’ve got a Wordpress blog, I don’t know. All I know is that I have to use a widget to embed a song on Wordpress.
I imagine if you can upload the song to your blogspace (or anywhere else in cyberspace) somehow, and find the address of it, you could post a link to it.
I suggest going into the members area of blogger and research there.
Thanks!
I figured it out. Google is my friend! Since you don’t visit my blog, I’ll post you a link. It’s nothin special, but it’s not bad considering we only practiced it twice.
http://www.houndbite.com/?houndbite=21009
Well done!!!! (I tried to post that over on your comments there, but I don’t have a houndbite account)
That’s you on prominent vocal? Interested in singing lead on my “White Limbaugh” parody tune???? You have a great voice.
Sorry about not making it out to your (and the other’s blogs) recently, lafin predicted this effect of starting my own blog.
This is dedicated to John McClain, my favorite Bum Phillips joke (done by Bob Hope): Until the Oilers became good (again), I always thought that a bum phillips was a defective screwdriver.
Thanks..and thanks for checkin it out!
You’re my buddy, Linda. Of course I support you in any musical adventure you might wander (or is that wonder?) into.
PING lafingas:
The (what little there’s been) action’s over @ Linda’s blog in her ‘Dead Or Alive’ thread (you can find her blog (‘Alien To Me’) linked over in my blogroll), and do check out her cover of Dead Or Alive. She’s got a great voice.
I must agree Stan, Linda has a lovely voice.
Congratulations Houston!
Houston voters elect 1st openly gay mayor!!!!!

I did not know that about her. Houston history twice in one month!!!! (remember our early snowfall?)
Here’s a classic TBSN post -

Thank you, lafin!
Good for Houston!
