This really doesn’t deserve my comments since me watching this video increased her ratings by 20%. Maddow = FAIL
Nestor lies -
> me watching this video increased her (Rachael Maddow’s) ratings by 20%.

So Nestor, you think that you are over 200,000 people????
Maybe you have that many pseudos.
Nestor ; smart people don’t like stupid TV!
Watching too much TV doesn’t necessarily make children stupid (9 July, p 6). Alternative conclusions are that stupid children prefer to watch TV while their brighter friends get out and stimulate their greater intellect and inquisitiveness. Maybe stupid parents are more likely to sit their children in front of TV to keep them quiet rather than stimulate them to perform well at school.

Wow..they’re like a couple of school kids bickering. A little painful to watch.
Linda, I’m not certain whether you’re talking about me and Nestor, lafin and Nestor, or Rachael and “Bleck” ™.
Can you get a little more specific in your (very welcome) comment????
StanNote: I am *not* blocking Reck (or anyone else here (except the Viagra spammers) from posting here. Reck is not commenting here on his own lack of initiative.
Stan,
I think Linda was referring to Maddow and “her boyfriend.”
Lafin,
Good “explanation” for their awful ratings. If Obermann had better ratings than O’Reilly would you say the same thing? Doubtful. It’s just like how “hot weather proves Global Warming and so does cold weather.” Sorry, liberal “logic” doesn’t make sense. The bottom line is that CNN, MSNBC and HLN offer an inferior product. They are just not as good, and more Americans agree with Fox News than the other networks.
Nestor; thanks for proving my point now you can go back to watching your favorite documentary- “The Flintstones”!
Nestor -
> I think Linda was referring to Maddow and “her boyfriend.”
Please explain. Susan’s a female.
Nestor’s calling GB my boyfriend, Stan.
Yes, I was talking about Maddow and Beck. “You said THIS”…”no, I didn’t but YOU said THIS!” Blahhhhhhh…..
Seriously, though…Glenn can’t go around making snowfall/global warming jokes and then backpedal when someone calls him out on it. I’m paraphrasing, but when he said “I never said the DC snowstorm was proof that global warming doesn’t exist”…that’s true, he probably didn’t. But he eluded to it by making stupid jokes about it. It’s like what Stan used to do a lot when you guys would disagree about something. (No offense Stan, but yes, I’m lumping you and GB together on this one.) The ol’ “I never said that”..when they say everything BUT that,to imply it. It’s game playing.
Linda -
> Nestor’s calling GB my boyfriend, Stan.
Oh! I had to think about it 4 awhile, but now I get it.
> Yes, I was talking about Maddow and Beck. “You said THIS”…”no, I didn’t but YOU said THIS!” Blahhhhhhh…..
There was some of that 4 sure, but in the case of “Bleck” ™, he was (and still is, I’m certain) lying. In Rachael’s case, she was (and still is, I’m certain) telling the truth.
> … I’m paraphrasing, but when he said “I never said the DC snowstorm was proof that global warming doesn’t exist”…that’s true, he probably didn’t. But he eluded to it by making stupid jokes about it. …
You got it.
> … it’s game playing.
Actually, it’s more serious than that (though maybe that’s part of the picture “Bleck” ™ tries to paint.)
Lafin,
Sorry but I can’t watch it seeing as how I don’t have TV. (I own a TV, I just don’t have cable, satellite or rabbit ears) We watch movies when we have the time. Mostly we work, go to church, go to school, read, take the kids to the park and we go to artsy stuff like museums and the ballet etc. Basically everything liberals like you enjoy. (except church and work)
As far as wasting my time, (what your opinion of watching the Flintstones would be) I try to convince liberals of how silly they are. I’ve convinced a few, and that give me hope for you and Stan.
Nestor;
OMG are you really that dense? Are you color blind? Do you see things only in black and white? Don’t look now but there are many shades of gray. I don’t think of myself as anything but a realist! On some things I’m more conservative than you. Like where was your outrage when Bush passed the “Patriot Act”? The foundations for Habeas Corpus were established by the Magna Carta of 1215 but then I don’t think you care much about that do you? As for being a “Liberal” I think marriage is a religious thing and should have nothing to do with the law. I do think that gays should have the same rights as anyone like being able to visit their spouse in the hospital or anything that a married couple share. What the hell am I doing taking to a moron? Never Mind!
Conservatism is a scam!
Designed to keep and maintain an economic elite, the top 1%. Those other ordinary people who vote republican have just voted to promote these elite over the past 30 years as they dismantled liberalism. The scam is complete. What a terrible mistake it was to do that. Hopefully they will join with “liberals” to fight the real enemy of democracy, corporatism.
StanNote: since ya’ll probably can’t read it, the album front cover art in my GrAvitar is Flash and the Pan’s ‘Headlines’ (though any true fan might want to debate that it’s actually the front cover art 4 ‘Lights In The Night’.)
PING lafin: this is a plug 4 Linda’s blog, a comment by me in her “Penmanship Counts” thread -

Nestor the “CONservomolester” ™ -
> I try to convince liberals of how silly they are. I’ve convinced a few, …
I don’t believe you. Name them.
Lafin,
Maybe we do agree on a few things. I do feel squeamish about the Patriot Act, however, I think that if you’re talking to a dirtbag in Yemen, the CIA should be all up in your conversation. If you’re a Congresswoman who is on the phone with a known Israeli spy, then yes that conversation should be monitored too. One of the few legitamite jobs of the Federal Government is to provide for the National Defense, and so long as the Patriot Act meets those ends without infringing upon liberty, I agree with it.
Habeas Corpus as outlined in the Magna Carta only applied to nobles, but that was the foundation for our own Habeas Corpus in the Constitution. (which is supposed to apply to all Americans) Again, however, if you are on the phone with a known terrorist or spy, you have opened yourself up to search. If you are only talking about grandma’s apple pie recipe, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about should you?
About marriage: I agree, somewhat. I believe that marriage should be a religious union between a man and a woman. I do support civil unions between either a man and a woman, man-man, or woman-woman, with the appropriate legal consequences that are traditionally associated with marriage. (Insurance, visitation, wills, etc.) In my personal religious beliefs I believe the act of homosexuality to be sinful, (not attraction) however in America we are not a nation that has biblical law or sharia law as it’s founding. While a majority of our laws come from English Common Law, which does have a founding on biblical law, the bible and it’s punishments are not meant to be carried out for our own system of justice.
As an aside, things would be much better if we all followed the two most important commandments as outlined by Jesus:
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. ‘There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31)
So with that, have a great night. I apologize if I have been rude, I am just passionate about what I believe is the best way forward, as you probably are too. This goes to you as well Stan.

This is Y I don’t frequent your blog. I find that prostiligizing is *BORING*.
Do you mean proselytize? Sorry Stan, I’m just sharing my faith. I can’t make you do anything you don’t want to do, but I won’t hide my faith either.
Nestor, I’m not asking you to hide your faith. In fact I wish all the best of luck in getting as many readers to you blog. I was just gonna make a joke here, but changed my mind.
But I think the only people that might not find it boring, are those brainwashed by “the book”.
Live in your bubble, baby. I’m just glad that you venture out of your bubble over to my place.
Nestor -
> … I don’t have TV. (I own a TV, I just don’t have cable, satellite or rabbit ears)
But you do have radio. But I don’t know if you have any progressive radio anymore.
> We watch movies when we have the time.
Are there movies that you’re not allowed to watch?
> Mostly we work, go to church, go to school, read, take the kids to the park and we go to artsy stuff like museums and the ballet etc. Basically everything liberals like you enjoy. (except church and work)
I can’t say that I like work, but I do work you “stupid, fucking moron”.
So Nestor, what kind of work do you do anyWAY. The last I recall, you were trying to get into drug school.
Stan, Many liberals don’t like hard work, it’s just an observation. It wasn’t meant to make you mad, it really was a joke. I thought about not putting it in there, but I figured it might get a rise out of you.
I still work at a hospital pharmacy, but I realized right before I applied to pharmacy school that I don’t want to do that anymore. I changed my major to history, but I’m working on business to eventually exceed anything that I’d make from a regular job.
Nestor -
> Stan, Many liberals don’t like hard work, it’s just an observation.
Dud, no-one likes hard work.
> It wasn’t meant to make you mad, it really was a joke.
Your decades old joke is getting old.
And whilst certainly working in a hospital pharmacy is valuable work, are you really gonna try to convince me that it’s hard work????
Nestor, do me a favor and go to work for the Rusk/Palastine railway as a fireman. There might be a position like that in Grapevine (in the D/FW/Denton area) to Ft. Worth railway. If so, I would accept that.
Then come back and tell what hard work is about, because then you’ll have credibility.
Stan,
How about digging ditches, foxholes, pulling 24 hour guard duty, going on 5 day convoys in a combat zone, working 18 hrs per day/ 7 days a week for 6 months, washing pots & pans for 15 straight hours sleeping in a full chemical suit & mask because Saddam dropped a missile 1/4 mile from your position, dragging tractor trailers out of the sand, being stranded 2 miles from Nasiriyah (think Jessica Lynch) for 5 hours at night with a broken down truck carrying the entire reserve supply of chemical and biological weapon antidote kits that the US carried into Iraq…I could go on, but I won’t.
By the way, working at a county hospital isn’t easy. We’re underfunded, understaffed and overworked. Do you think this economy has lowered or increased our workload?
So you are gonna try to convince me that working in a hospital pharmacy is “hard work”.
Try being employed by some to take care of some one’s dying parents. Do you think working at a pharmacy is harder work than having to wipe someone elses asshole????
Nestor -

Is that something that you’ve done? If so, you’re now gonna try to convince me that you *LIKED* doing that “hard work”???? Really?
Nestor -
> … it’s just an observation. …

There seems to be a congruity problem with your comment.
